The setup in Opal Fruits is unusual. At first glance, it looks like a Megaways machine. It’s not though. In the middle of the screen is 6 reel, 3 row machine where symbols spin vertically as usual. Above and below reels 2 through 5 are extra reels. At the top the symbols spin left to right, below they spin right to left. Together, this combination delivers 5,625 ways to win.
To create a winner, land 3, 4, 5 or 6 matching symbols from left to right on adjacent reels, starting from the leftmost reel.
After a winner has been formed, a reaction follows. The successful symbols are removed from the grid and new symbols move in and replace them. A new payout calculation then follows. These reactions continue until there’s one where no new winner is created.
