Gorilla Go Wild Bonus Features

gorila go wild bonus feature

instant win bonuses and free spins with modifiers.

Gary’s Bonus Time

This can trigger at random on any base game spin. Gary will deliver an instant win of 50, 100, 150, 300 or 1,000 coins. Alternatively, he can trigger the Gary the Gorilla’s Feature Kingdom which we’ll look at below.

Gary Goes Bananas

On any base game spin, you could see the animated Gary eat a banana. When he’s finished eating, Gary moves to a new area of the jungle. He can advance 3 times. With each advance, the frequency that Gary’s Bonus Time lands increases.

Gary the Gorilla’s Feature Kingdom

Trigger the main bonus offering by landing 3 or more temple scatter symbols anywhere on the reels on the same spin or via Gary’s Bonus Time. There are four free spin rounds on offer here. To begin, only one of them will be unlocked. Triggering the Feature Kingdom multiple times unlocks the other free spin rounds.

Gorillionaire Win Spins (Available after first trigger)

In this round, you’ll receive 10 free spins with all payouts boosted by a 2x multiplier and doubled. Gary can randomly re-trigger the Win Spins one time.

Stay Wild Free Spins (Unlocked after five triggers)

Once again, 10 free spins are awarded. Any wild that lands during this round turns sticky and remains in position until you’ve used up all your free spins. One re-trigger is possible too.

Mega-Rilla Multiplier Free Spins (Unlocked after 10 triggers)

You’ll start your 10 free spins with a 1x multiplier. With each wild that lands, the multiplier increases by 1x, up to a maximum of 10x. Again, one random re-trigger is possible.

More Wilds Free Spins (Unlocked after 15 triggers)

On each of your 10 free spins, up to 3 symbols can turn wild. One re-trigger is possible here too.

Design, Theme and Visuals of Gorilla Go Wild

gorila go wild base game

Gorilla Go Wild was first released way back in 2013 and it’s starting to look its age. The design here isn’t bad. The visuals are bright and very easy to make out. They just lack the polish you’ll find in more recent releases (including the sequel, Gorillas Go Wilder).

The reels are set against a rich jungle backdrop. There you’ll find lower value A to 9 royals as well as a racoon, toucan, monkey and gold coin.

The smiling figure of Gary the Gorilla is the game’s wild. He can appear on all 5 reels and substitute for all the standard symbols when he makes up party of a winning combination. The temple is the scatter.

Watching over proceedings is an animated Gary.

There’s a rhythmical, drum heavy soundtrack banging way in the background while you spin. It does the job perfectly well.

Gorilla Go Wild Advantages and Disadvantages

Pros

  • Four free spin features
  • Random base game bonuses
Cons
  • Visuals are a bit dated

Gorilla Go Wild Alternatives

Gary’s adventures proved a hit with online slot players so NextGen created a sequel, Gorilla Go Wilder. The design is an upgrade on the original release and there are loads of features on offer including 8 unlockable free spin rounds. Land a winner in the multiplier zone for a payout boost of up to 25x.

Jungle Mega Moolah offers a similar setting to Gorilla Go Wild. It’s a jackpot slot from Microgaming that can deliver enormous progressive prizes. Other highlights include 2x multiplier wilds and free spins with all payouts trebled.

If you like the safari theme, check out Congo Cash from Pragmatic Play. It’s a 5 reel, 432 ways to win video slot where special jewels can deliver instant wins of up to 2,000x stake. There’s also a free spin feature where a wild is added on each spin.
